Ask the guide: an AI that runs on our own hardware
What shipped
The user can now ask the AgoraVoice guide how the platform works and get an answer from an AI that runs on our own hardware, with no cloud AI provider involved.
---
Ask the guide
Open **Ask the guide** from any page, or go to the guide page from the footer. Ask how we verify causes, where your donation goes, what a petition opt-in means, or how your data is handled.
The guide answers from our own published texts and the current list of causes. It tells you when it does not know, and it marks preview causes as previews.
---
Private by design
Your question travels to a model on hardware we control. No cloud AI provider receives what you type. We do not store your messages or the answers.
To keep the service fair for everyone, you can ask a few questions per ten minutes and a limited number per day. When others are asking at the same time, you wait in a short queue and see your position.
---
Know its limits
- The guide is an AI and can be wrong. Check anything important on the page it points you to.
- It only answers questions about AgoraVoice. It does not give medical, legal, financial or voting advice.
- If you are in a crisis, it points you to emergency help instead of trying to answer.
- Do not share personal or sensitive data in the chat.
- It runs on our own hardware, so it is sometimes offline. The rest of the site keeps working.

Behind the scenes
Our internal planning and research tools now run on local models as well. Read **How verification works** and the privacy policy for the details that matter to you.
